The Big Essex Award

In a nutshell – you need to sign up for it!

It is the University’s Employability Award. Everything you complete through the Big Essex Award will be formally recognised by the University and included on your HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report) – the secure digital transcript of all your academic and extra-curricular achievements.

What is it?

Its important! Get University recognition for your achievements – if you are getting involved in a variety of different activities, on and off campus – you need to sign up!. Activities include – Part-time work, vTeam, Languages for All, Sports Execs, Student Ambassadors plus many more! A full list if the activities you can complete are listed in our handbook.

So far over 2000 students have completed The Big Essex Award. The award is made up of three levels- Bronze, Silver & Gold. Simply log your completed units and work your way through the three levels throughout your time at University.

Why not book in to attend an information session – they are running throughout term. They will give you more info on the award – why it is important and  give you an opportunity to speak to the award team.
